The right way to respond to any questions for us section

If you have appeared for an interview earlier, you would be aware that the interviewers end the session by asking ‘Any questions for us?’ This is quintessentially an important part of the interview, for the interviewer and the interviewee alike. 

At times, Hiring Managers use this part as a means to figure out how much research you had done prior to going for the interview for youth jobs in Canada. Similarly for an interviewee, it is a fine chance to know about the company he is being interviewed by, prior to getting hired.

For responding to this part in a feasible manner, you may make a note of the questions that come to mind when you do your research before going for the interview. There are a number of questions that you may pose. They may refer to the job or the profile that you are being interviewed for. Or they may refer to the business the enterprise is in to. 

You may choose to ask something like, why is this position available? Or can you tell me more about everyday work associated with this profile?

You may even choose to ask some broad-based questions, such as could you tell me a little bit more about the company’s goals? 

However, it is best to avoid asking questions related to compensation, vacations or benefits. They are likely to be discussed in any case while the interview is in progress. But post the interview, these are not the kind of questions that an interviewee is expected to ask. 

All doubts about compensation are cleared before one is hired. If you choose to ask questions about compensation before you are hired, it comes across as the top priority, over the work that you will be doing. It does not convey the right kind of impression.

However, if an interviewer himself offers to discuss the compensation, the safest way to respond is by saying ‘As per the industry standards’. If you instead have a figure in mind that you must be paid for this job, you may choose to quote it. It may be possible that the employer hires you at your quoted salary.
