Job Description

Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and preparing desserts in accordance with existing menu
Ensure compliance with food handling safety regulation, health and safety workplace policies and procedures
Maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance is a must
To complete all work in an orderly and timely fashion
Actively participate in the development and creation of new pastries and deserts for seasonal releases
Producing batters, fillings, pastries, dough's and custards, mousse , cheesecake
Decorating
inventory check and purchases orders made
must be able to be apart of a team of pastry cooks and follow managements requests

Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of pastry experience
Minimum 3-5 years of baking experience
Minimum 3-5 years of decorating experience
Completion of related pastry culinary program
Must be flexible
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook
Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e. punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great team work etc.)
Long periods of standing and walking is required
Repetitive use of hands, dexterity, bending down
Ability to problem solve creatively and calmly under pressure
Positive attitude and a hunger for knowledge and growth
Ability to work in an intense, fast passed environment
