Thrive Landscapes Ltd. is looking for 2 skilled Junior Landscape Foreman (NOC 82031). The position offered is full-time with 8 hours a day/40 hour a week and overtime as required.
As a Junior Landscape Foreman, you will be performing all duties described below:
• Supervise/mentor and training of Labourers responsible for lawns, gardens, hedges, etc.
• Organizing and planning materials, equipment and people to perform landscaping projects
• Organize the construction and installation of fences, decks, walkways, etc; as well as the maintenance of lawns, gardens, hedges, etc.
• Coordinate activities with other work units
• Liaising with clients, engineers, estimators, project managers, etc.
• Resolve work-related problems
• Oversee and coordinate snow removal during winter months
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised
• May operate skid steers and Mini-excavators
• May work at multiple job sites within Vancouver Island
Requirements:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a landscaper or as a foreman in a relevant field is required
• Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early morning shifts and holidays
• Completion of High School or Diploma required
• The ability to communicate in English is necessary
What we offer:
• $29.50 per hour
• 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
• Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time position
You will be working out of the head office located: 611 Alberni Hwy, Parksville, BC V9P 1J9, job sites will vary depending on ongoing contracts within Vancouver Island.
