Uprising Breads Bakery Café is a familiar destination and a favorite meeting spot in the vibrant Commercial Drive neighbourhood of East Vancouver. We bake everything on site early every morning and offer a full selection of familiar home baking that will make you want “one of everything, please! We are now hiring a baker apprentice to join our friendly team. As a baker apprentice, you need to have the following qualifications and be able to do the following job duties:

Duties
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies;
• Bake mixed dough and batters;
• Prepare special orders;
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
• Operate machinery.

Employment requirements
• Secondary school diploma;
• 7 months to 1 year of work experience;
• Being able to work early in the morning and weekends.
