Job Description

Language: English required
Education: No degree, certificate of diploma
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Personal Suitability: Judgement, Reliability
Animal Specialization: Horses

Tasks:
• Ride/exercise racehorses under the direction of a trainer to qualify for races;
• Attend scheduled practice and training sessions;
• Assess performance/fitness of racehorses and communicate information effectively to trainer;
• Monitor animal health;
• Monitor and document animal behaviour;
• Handle horses of all ages and temperaments;
• Adhere to various stop and start points;
• Maintain equipment required for the training and racing of horses.
