Salaries and Wages:
30.00 to 40.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and organize day-to-day record keeping of financial transactions and entries using QuickBooks or any other accounting software identified by the company.
2. Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including balancing cash, releasing invoices, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
3. Maintain high accuracy in managing financial records, processing invoices, updating ledgers, and reconciling statements. Ensure that trial balances are prepared and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
4. Generate financial reports using advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, and ensure that reports reflect accurate and up-to-date financial data for decision-making.
5. Calculate and prepare commission cheques for payment in the over-the-counter system for payroll, taxes, and other bills.
6. Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports, and perform analysis of KPI data using Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Power BI, and pivot tables to support business operations.
7. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax-related laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree is required or college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field, or the completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience as a bookkeeper or in a related occupation is required.
Other Skills/Conditions:
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Knowledgeable in using data analysis software such as VBA and SQL
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills; experienced user of Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and Google Suites
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet challenging targets
• Efficient interpersonal skills and Team player
